If I could rate this banking institution a -1,000 I would, it is THAT BAD. Charges under $5 are always getting taken out, when you call customer services they are as clueless about it as you are. They can NEVER provide you with a solid answer or solution to your issues. It is always stories and excuses as to why things aren't working how they should. My online banking is not up to date, over the phone they tell me about several of charges that do not appear on my online banking. Then when I ask why isn't it real time update (with other banks they show pending AND cleared charges), they want to give me a story on how they were looking at their screen wrong, how they were "interpreting the numbers" without ever answering my question. I am constantly having issues with my card, I have never been able to do a transaction online or handle any payments. When I call about it they feed me nonsense saying they have to "force my card to work" on their end WHICH IT SHOULD BE WORKING FROM THE GET GO. They have to allow it to do the purchase or they were doing a system update which is why my card didn't work. I don't know in what century they think they are doing business in but their "update" shouldn't delay my card from working nor should I have to call them every single time so they can allow for me to do an online transaction. This banking institution is the WORSE . I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I had a vehicle financed through Texas Bay Area Credit Union and it has been the worst experience ever. I have hung up with customer service crying due to the unfair treatment I have received. I refinanced my vehicle to get rid of all the chaos I had to go through with this credit union. Every time I would request a manager I would get transferred and eventually the call would get disconnected. They made me drive all the way to the Fuqua location once because they didn't know how to help me at the West Lake Houston location. I would NEVER refer anyone to this credit union.
I had been a customer of TBACU for 20+ years and never had a problem. Then, they screwed up some internal paperwork and gave the IRS false information on one of my accounts. It only cost me aggravation initially, because I always had my information together and was able to prove that the bank was wrong. But then, one day, they tried to force me to sign false documents. When I refused, they froze my account and would not respond to calls. I had to call the FBI to get my money out of the bank. My guess is they were in trouble with the regulators and were trying to cover themselves for it. This is a very dangerous institution, they were almost able to steal my money. I have this all well documented with the regulatory agencies
I have been a member of TBACU for 4 yrs now. They are areas always professional and treated me with courtesy and respect. They have proven to me that the customer is always right. And the pay interest on their checking accounts. What!!!!!!!
I LOVE TBACU, GOOD SERVICE, BUT I THINK WE NEED MORE LOCATIONS IN HOUSTON AREA!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS AND THEY ALWAYS TREAT ME WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT.
