Plays A Bank On TV. Not Really A Bank

Posted by: |

The bank that can’t figure out any of the problems that the bank is closing. Your money won’t transfer, even though it said it was authorized in the check out drafted? We don’t know why that’s happening. We can’t fix it. So I have to physically go down take my money out and drive it over to another bank, because Umpqua doesn’t know how to buy a product that actually works. Their online banking system does not work but they don’t care. They want the cheaper product that doesn’t work and they pretend they have a system that works. Work fakers. This is not a bank. This is a pretendThe bank the kind that you would buy for your child for Christmas and pop it up in the backyard and they can play banker. This is not a real bank. Don’t put your money here.

Worst Bank To Do Business With - They Are A Bunch Of Frauds

Since the merger with Columbia bank, Umpqua Bank became a bank of thieves and fraudulent people.

Was home, received a call that there was an illegal charge on my bank card. I logged-in to my account and could not see the charge. But I am told that they have to disable the card though they could not prove it. A couple of days later, the entire balance on my checking disappeared ($13k). Don't do business with Umpqua or Columbia bank. They don't value their customers.

I opened a HELOC with Umpqua Bank in 2022 and when I went to withdraw money, it was a nightmare and I faced a lot of issues. The top few are (1) They let me put money from HELOC into their checking account but wont let me withdraw from checking due to daily withdrawal limits which would take me months to take my money out while I am paying interest. (2) When I received the first statement, the interest calculations were wrong. I was being charged 30days interest for 7 days of loan period. Good that I caught it and then raised my concern. It was so messed up that they had to close the account and reopened a new one. (3) Next month when I got another statement, the amortization (which is a basic payment details with principal and interest amount) was also incorrect. Good that I caught the incorrect calculations (4) Many times when I called the representative was now knowledgeable enough to help and would tell me to call later. I wish I had gone to a different bank!

Was a customer since 2012, but closed my accounts today. I went into the bank last Wednesday to make cash deposits to my checking and savings accounts. I handed the teller two $100 bills to deposit into my checking account. She counted the money, entered the amount into the computer, then printed out receipts for the bank and then for me. I then gave her five $100 bills to deposit into my savings account. Same process, she counted the money, entered the amount into her computer and printed out receipts for both the bank and me.

Today (May 9) I had a dentist appointment so decided to check the balance in my checking account. The deposit for $200 showed up on May 3rd with another "OTC withdrawal" for $100?? I didn't withdraw ANY funds from the account so I called the bank to see what was going on. Spoke with another teller and told her my concerns. she said she would check into it and call me back (I also had the name of the teller - Jainee/Jaimee who had waited on me. The bank called back and said that I had only deposited $100 - WTH? She said Jainee/Jaimee had "mis-typed" the amount of my deposit? Whoa! She COUNTED the money in front of me, gave me a receipt for $200 and now says, no I only deposited $100!

I'm assuming at the end of the day when she had to balance her till there was a $100 discrepancy. The bank said the $100 OTC charge was to "take back" the $100 I supposedly didn't deposit! On top of that, NO ONE from Umpqua had the decency to contact me about ANY discrepancy! Now I know why Umpqua Bank has a shady reputation in the industry - "Investors who claim Umpqua Bank aided and abetted a $300 million Ponzi scheme perpetrated by one of its northern California borrowers have won a key legal battle. U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg in San Francisco denied the bank's motion for summary judgment, which keeps the case alive."

I drove the 40 miles to the bank and CLOSED both of my accounts! STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES!!!

The website for this bank has been nothing but a pain in the rear for the past 5 yrs. Logging in every month is very difficult and you constantly have to verify your login just so you can make a payment. Working hard to pay this off asap so i don't have to deal with this bank anymore.
