Extremely disappointed with Veridian Bank's handling of my loan account. Despite Veridian staff approval, I was charged exorbitant insurance fees. Multiple attempts to resolve the issue were met with silence. Trust shattered. Dishonest and dishonorable group.
I had a checking account with them, as did my adult daughter (legal adult). Eventually we moved out of state and began finding a new bank (veridian is not in our new state of residence). after a short time of our accounts sitting dormant and low on funds, some silly charge (like netflix or something) billed to my daughters account (an oversight on her getting everything transferred). Veridian contacted her via mail for her to contact them about a bunce of fees she owed. She contacted them only to learn that a small charge had gone through and Veridian tacked a bunch of charges on immediately, then more in a couple days....My daughter informed their personnel that she could drive over there on her next payday and clear the balance but they were not impressed. A few days later i logged in to my online banking to find that Veridian had Emptied the balance in My Account (towards her debt) and closed my account without even notifying me. The bank has since Reported the debt on My Credit and my credit score has tanked because of this. Stark Collections is the agency who is handling the Fraudulent claim against me and my credit. Their only response is "Pay your daughters debt and we'll remove it"..........
Their customer service is appalling and they aren’t willing to work with someone to help build their credit since credit is what makes the world go round
long story short, about 10 years ago my mom opened a joint account when i was 19 for me to use in case of emergencies before i went off to college. in those 10 years i have never once touched the card. several months ago, we went into a veridian to separate our accounts as my mom went into some legal trouble with her card. we believed that i was taken off this card as well, however i was not. a couple weeks ago i came back from vacation and realized that my card was blocked. i went into a branch because i thought it was due to me being out of state, however they confronted me and said that i needed to pay a $255 fine in order to unblock my car due to a "loan" on my card. my only card that i own is a veridian debit card so i was forced to pay a fine that i had nothing to do with in order to use my money in my checking account. this was on march 2nd. we believe that they blocked my account in order to get the fine paid. keep in mind that my finances are COMPLETELY SEPARATE from my moms, and has been since i was 18. a couple days later we go into another veridian to see about taking my name off of this card. we were told that if we wanted to take me off, that would be fine but it would impact my credit score. because i had a good credit score (low 700s), we decided to just keep my name on the card and i would make the monthly payment. all is fine until i log into veridian site on my laptop and i get a notification that my credit score dropped to the high 500s because i "missed a payment" in march, even though i made the payment + the additional late fee. so because of veridians lack of integrity and due to me being a bystander whos only personal loans are through dupaco for my car, and my student loans, i get my credit absolutely ruined for no fault of my own. to say im upset is an understatement and i am being punished for no reason.
I attend the branch 17050 wright plaza Omaha Nebraska 68130 on 01/14/2023
Lyle Hamrick assited me with my banking needs and provide more than I asked for. this demostrated his true interest in providing customer service for Veridain Credit Union .
I like that Lyle Hamrick gave me information about my bank card such the set traveler app that allows me to pre postion my use of card when traveling out the state of Nebraska and Iowa so do not encounter a limitation of use of the bank card.
Lyle Hamrick is a HUGE team player for Veridain Credit Union anyone that visits this branch should ask for Llye Hamrick

their online application where one uploads ID etc, doesnt load properly. so I called and spoke with a customer service person. she had me email her my documents directly. then nothing happened. i left her voice messages and emails to update me on the status of my application. i called after ten days and spoke with an unpleasant man. he said they needed my drivers license notarized and sent regular mail to them. i asked him to confirm that request via email. nothing. a week later i received an auto-generated email requiring the notarized ID. i called and asked for my application to be withdrawn. they further wanted copies of my vehicle registrations , notarized, to accompany the notarized ID. to become a depositor! taking my business elsewhere
