Very Disappointed, was told I was approved at a certain term and was going to send me the paperwork and a couple hours later was called by another member stating it was a mistake and was not approved at the term I was told. Very bad business would not recommend until the issue is resolved.

I've been a member of Visions FCU for a few years. I've generally been satisfied with their service. The website account access is good and easy to navigate. I've set up electronic payments from there and have never had any problems. I have my paycheck electronically deposited. When I go in-person, I usually get a follow up survey email that asks about the quality of my service. I've experienced really long wait times when I've had to call on the phone. Another criticism is that you can't have real "joint" accounts. Each person has to have a membership. There is only one ATM/Debit card issued per account. For a married couple this can be inconvenient.
Overall, I like Visions Credit Union. I chose this credit union because I didn't want to do any more business with my former bank, Bank of America. I like that the credit union is not-for-profit. It is conveniently located, and has a 24 hour ATM in a sheltered vestibule. We (my wife and I) have our paychecks automatically deposited to our checking account. One of the inconvenient things is that they only give us one ATM card, which is very frequently inconvenient. I'm pretty confident in the security of their web site, and find it pretty convenient. We have most of our bills on auto-pay through their site and it works very well. I would recommend them without reservation.
It is a pretty good credit union. Way better than a typical bank. They deposit money instantly and help if I need help. I have had only one problem with them and it was putting my card on hold. But once I talked to them, my card was lifted and usable again. A very good and fair bank. I have had an account with them for almost a year and have not had anymore problems besides that. I would suggest it to anyone look for an easy way to store their money in an account. I also had other bad experiences with banks, and a credit union is way better than a typical bank. It is definitely worth getting an account with them. You'll find no problems whatsoever.
I have been a member for well over eight years, and Visions FCU gets some things right, and others wrong. Even a longstanding customer such as myself, with direct deposit for those same eight years, is still not given the courtesy of pay day overdraft check fee waivers. I can be overdrawn as little as one cent on pay day, and if my check has not cleared in time, I will be hit with a $20 fee. This seems a little ludicrous after so many years of credit union loyalty. On the other hand, I have never had a problem with their customer service. They have always been friendly and helpful, and gotten my issues resolved quickly. As for their website, it has recently undergone a revamp, with some improvements, and at least one change that I don't care for. When looking at my statement online, I can no longer see my outstanding holds as individual items. They are now lumped together as one sum, making checkbook balancing a little more challenging. Why the change? It doesn't make any sense to remove that particular feature.
Overall, I am still a loyal customer, despite some of my misgivings. They have convenient locations, and the ability to withdraw even small amounts of money (we're talking pocket change) from their ATMs instead of the common $20 minimum at other ATMs, is a definite bonus.
As a former Visions customer, I have nothing but praise for them. Unfortunately, I moved outside of their service area otherwise I would still be a member. In all my years as a member, they never made a single error concerning my accounts. So far, no other banking institution has ever come close to this level of excellence. I would defintely recommend Visions to anyone who is interested in good customer service and low rates. Thank you!
