Membership to Sandia Area Federal Credit Union is open to those who work, worship, live or attend school, or business and other legal entities located in the New Mexico counties of Bernalillo, Cibola, Torrance, or Valencia, or the city of Rio Rancho. Membership is also offered to those who subscribe to permaculture ethics, those who have completed a Permaculture Institute-recognized permaculture design course, or those who are members of an affiliated regional Permaculture Institute.

Don't Trust Sandia Area CU For A Loan.
Back in 2021, I applied for a Vehicle Loan. Not only did I have an 800+ Credit Score, I had 2 fairly new paid off vehicle as collateral. Not only did my loan get denied, I was never given a reason as to why they made their decision and it also left a hard inquiry on my credit report. I went to Mountain America Credit Union with the same request, and got my vehicle loan at 2.9%. Mountain America has way better customer service too. My recommendation is to seriously consider a different Credit Union.
Terrible Platform, Terrible Service. Wasted Hours Of My Life.
Wasted hours trying to open an account online. Their web is bugged. Keep saying routing number is incorrect.
I have used my current checking account's routing number for bills pay and funds transfer all the time and never had an issue.
I have called in and spoke with a rep and no help. Then try to talk to a supervisor and got no help there. The supervisor won't even acknowledge the problem. Keep saying its my problem. Completely useless.
Wasted 3 hours of my life. Stay away!!!
