Wonder if this ANONYMOUS posting is from a member, or might it be a competitive bank? We have been members of the TVFCU (formerly TVACU) for 44 years now…YES, 44 years.
We've had personal, business, and estate accounts here. We've gotten help / assistance / advice over the years that banks today don't have the time nor desire to provide. Because it's NOT leveraged, it's a FAR safer place to keep your money. TVFCU doesn't borrow money to loan money…the money for loans comes from the members.
We used to own a real estate brokerage. In that business, we often had clients who would comment how much they appreciated TVFCU…they received help and loans when others wouldn't help. Clearly, TVFCU takes the time to look at each unique situation, and assess risk accordingly.
They have grown substantially since we first joined. In spite of that growth, they have not lost the ability to provide personal service. In reading the review, the poster implies he/she was treated as an 'idiot'..I have to say, I've never witnessed anything but gracious and helpful treatment from any of the employees we've interacted with at various locations. Seems this reviewer knows something about himself/herself that we don't. Additionally, the article that brought me to this negative ANONYMOUS review highlighted the fact that TVFCU boasts an A+ health rating, is #88 out of 6,600 credit unions across the nation HA!
We're proud of our credit union, their impressive track record, their attention to detail, and their interaction with the members. Notice now, ANONYMOUS, that we're signing our names: John and Jo Peckinpaugh
I really enjoy banking with Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union. I have been with them since I got married in 2009 and have been with them ever since, even after moving away from the area where the branches are located. Every time we have been into one of the offices, the customer service has been great. There is one office in particular that we do visit and after one or two visits, they would acknowledge us by name once we walked in which was very impressive, as we don't make it by the branches too often. I have the mobile app on my phone and I love that I get to deposit checks through the mobile app and I don't even have to worry about visiting the branches. We currently have 1 checking out and 2 savings accounts with the credit union. It is very easy to make transfers between the accounts and I have never been charged a fee for making too many transfers (and I make a lot).
Do not use this bank your money will disappear, and you will be treated like you are an idiot. Never get a loan from them you will regret it.
