Westbury Bank is headquartered in WAUKESHA and is the 32nd largest bank in the state of Wisconsin. It is also the 1,094th largest bank in the nation. It was established in 1926 and as of June of 2023, it had grown to 101 employees at 9 locations. Westbury Bank has a B health rating.
Westbury Bank's "WHAT IF" slogan is a joke. "What If" they actually cared about their customers?! I am a long time customer (in good standing) and have grown very tired of their lack of customer service. It seems no matter what the issue is, they always have a "reason" why they cannot do anything about it. Whether it is a problem with a money transfer, or an account, etc., it does not matter - they are never able to correct it. They charge unreasonable fees for anything and everything. Their website has areas on it that are constantly either "Not available at this time" or just not functioning at all. When you call the bank to explain the problem, once again their response is that they cannot do anything about that, and to try again later. Wow, what great customer service! Perhaps they should hire some programmers that actually know how to solve web problems - just a thought! I would not recommend this bank to anyone ever. I have only stayed their for its location, but will not be there much longer.
This bank wants your ss number before they will cash a check drawn on their bank. Called several times, they would NOT do anything over the phone to speed the process. How dumb do they think people are to give them a SS number? I should have made one up.... how dumb am I ????
Westbury Bank assessed our account an NSF fee for a transaction that was credited the same day. When I escalated the call the supervisor Pam was rude and told me that bank did not have the capability to process my deposit the same day (which would have avoided any fee). Unprofessional and unethical sums this bank up. Avoid them at all costs.
A few months back, I accidentally played a large bill twice. I contacted Westbury to let them know my honest mistake. While I did receive multiple overdraft fees, they were nice enough to reverse them, however, not all of them. Now in the past couple of weeks, we received overdrafts due to a what we consider to be fraudulent activity, a company that took 13 transactions out of our account and Westbury refused to reverse any fees, stating they had already reversed some a few months prior. Westbury is all about what they can make off of their customers and I truly advise against banking with them. We are ending our relationship with them after 10+ years as they are crooks. Sorry it took us this long! They also require a certain amount in a savings account or they will take $2.00/month out. Great plan right there! Lastly, they do not have any locations in dodge county anymore. Very inconvenient!
Westbury Bank's motto states, "Working with you, for You", nothing could be farther from the truth.
Through the merger of the former West Bend Savings Bank Continental Savings Bank several years ago, Westbury Bank was born. Westbury has since closed a great number of the old Continental branch locations jettisoned a good number of the Continental people. Recently, they have announced the closing of their south side location at 5480 S. 108th St., Hales Corners, WI. The reason stated for the closure was the lack of foot traffic, I find this to be bogus and a blatant distortion on Westbury's part. Needless to say, this leaves all of us former Continental customers without a Westbury Bank facility convenient to us.
They state in their letter to those of us using this facility that they look forward to continuing our relationships in the future at any one of their neighborhood locations. How is this possible, when the nearest location is a 30-40 mile round trip to a Brookfield location or a Brown Deer Location? The remainder of Westbury's offices are located to the north in their original business area of West Bend, WI., hardly a convenience.
It appears that for what ever reason the merger was necessary, the former Continental customer no longer have a value to Westbury.
This most recent decision, as well as the implementation of a new fee schedule late last year, certainly does not agree with Westbury's motto of "Working with you ,for You."
After an association of almost 50 years with Continental now Westbury, I will be moving my accounts.
