I have been a member of White Rose Credit Union since moving here from Tennessee in 2006. I love the family atmosphere and the welcoming staff. They do their best to help in good and bad times. They are always looking for ways to better my membership. Thanks White Rose.
These peoplr are definately working hard for me as a member to make a profit! I wish more people would take the time to get to know about a company that handles their money. They are the real deal. Thank you white Rose Credit Union for helping me become mire financially healthy on a lower middle class income. I really didn't think it was possible.
We went to White Rose Credit Union after my husband financed his truck through them. He started a joint account, and I decided to start a separate checking account for myself for my side business money, so I could have it separate from our main account. Setting up the account was very easy. I went in to my local branch in East York, and the one assistant manager took me to her office to do the paperwork and set up my account. They had a special if I did a deposit of $50 at set up a direct deposit within 30 days, I received a Visa gift card, so that was a nice additional incentive!
Their website is pretty easy to use and I have never had issues with looking up information or reviewing my account and how much money I have. I had a question about depositing some checks the one day. I called the office, and did not wait on hold for more than 1-2 minutes. The customer service rep was so friendly and explained how much money would be available the day of the deposit, etc. It was very nice to know, as it was a little different than my other bank account.
Any time I have ever used their customer service or went to one of their locations, they have alway been very helpful helping me out. They are never pushy like my other bank about making you try to open other accounts with you. They may offer here and there, or place a pamphlet in your deposit envelope, but it never feels like they are trying to be overly pushy. Although, we have opened other accounts other than bank accounts through them since then.
Their fees are very reasonable. Because I do at least $500 in direct deposit every month, I do not incur any fees on my checking account, and I also got free checks for the year because of my direct deposit. The fees for using other atm's is very minimal.
Overall, I am very satisfied with them!
I found White Rose Credit Union, when we did a car loan through them for our last new car. They gave us a great rate on the car loan, and we did a checking account with them as well. The checking account was great...there were no crazy or silly fees associated with it, where you were required to have exorbitant amounts of money in it every month. We use this account to put our holiday money or trip/vacation money in it. Any time I have had questions or needed help, when I call the customer service, they are so nice and helpful! And the people at the actual location are just wonderful. I rarely have to wait longer than a minute or two, they always have ample staffing and the employees are incredibly knowledgable and so nice! I had an issue with being locked out of my online account, and I was on the phone with someone within minutes, and they unlocked my account and showed me how to re-issue a new password. I have no real complaints about them. Even though they obviously do not have tons of locations, it is convenient to my office if I need to stop by to get cash or do something with my account. They are always super efficient.
This company’s a joke. Our car has been paid off for almost 2-months, they lost our title, told us we had to pay the fee ($50) for a duplicate, and when we contacted the DMV, the DMV said there was still a lien on the vehicle, and they couldn't release it (Even though the bank said they released it electronically 2-months ago). However, the vehicle is paid off, and we can't get any assistance from anyone at the bank. The Industrial Drive branch manager offered no assistance to help resolve our issue. All they could say is, “these things happen from time-to-time, and you’ll just have to get a duplicate from the DMV… We owe you nothing.” So here we are, with a car paid in full, and no title to show for it. We knew the car was close to being paid-off, and upon contacting them originally, they told us it has been paid off for almost 2-months, and they opened a savings account to put excess payments in (we had no clue since they never once tried contacting us). They then tried to say our information in the system was outdated, but somehow we still received statements for the loan at our new address. The manager wanted us to tell him who we spoke with, and the time and date we spoke to them over a year ago to change our address! They're amateurs. I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars over the years, and have never had such a bad experience as this one. Stay far far away. There are plenty of banks out there, and this one will never get our business again... Hopefully this post will deter others. Maybe when they start seeing a decline in business, they'll realize its time to listen to their customers, and help. Instead, we've hit a brick wall, and have no idea how to resolve the issue, as no one is willing to help.
