2.50% Reward Checking Account at a Nevada Bank (Community Bank)

Update 4/23/09: The bank is no longer offering this account to new customers, and it's no longer listed on the bank's website. The account continues for customers who have already opened it. As of 8/08/09, the top rate has fallen to 2.50% APY for existing customers.

Community Bank of Nevada has a reward checking account called the CB WOW Checking which pays 2.50% APY on balances up to $100K (0.75% for above $100K) and refunds ATM fees if the following monthly requirements are met: 1) 10 debit card transactions, 2) one direct deposit, 3) one electronic bill payment, and 4) enroll and receive an electronic statement. If these requirements are not met, the rate falls to 0.15%. The minimum initial deposit is $100. After it's opened, there are no minimum balance requirements or monthly fees regardless of meeting the above requirements.

Branches are located in Las Vegas, Henderson, and Pahrump, Nevada. The bank is FDIC insured (Certificate # 34043)
