Any Hope Of Interest Rates By 2015?

I have most of my 5-year CD's all coming due in spring-summer 2015.  Any thoughts/hopes on what the interest rates will be by then?  They're all expiring in the 3.0 to 3.5% range.

Hopefully you will be able to renew them for another 5-year maturity at the same rates.  Based on extrapolation, however,  I expect 2.65% to 2.85% CD yields for 5-year terms in mid-2015. Good luck carly.

Here's hoping you're right.  I could live with 2.85% and be a happy camper.

I thought I read in this forum a comment about a brokered non-callable CD that paid 3%.

Good4you.  Still two years to go with such high rates.

The rate for 2015 is anyone's guess.  No crystal ball and no prediction.

#4   You may be thinking of the 10 year CDs which were posted in one of Ken's articles.  I could find no uncallable 5 year CDs brokered or non-brokered for 3%.
