If Bank A Has A Low ACH Limit, Can You Get Around It By Pulling Funds From Bank B With A Higher One?

Question...

Say "Low Bank" has a daily ACH limit of $3,000.

And "High Bank" has a daily ACH limit of $25,000

I have a bunch of money at "Low Bank" ($100,000+) that I want to move to "High Bank"

But it's not needed super fast so I don't want to waste money on the wire fee.

If I try to use "Low Bank's" online system to "SEND" ACH to "High Bank", it will only allow $3,000/day.

MY QUETSION:

If I log onto "High Bank's" ACH system (which allows $25,000/day ACH as far as they are concerned) and use it to "PULL" ACH $25,000/day FROM "Low Bank"..... will it typically go through?

(ie, since I'm PULLING it from a place that allowed $25k/day, is that a way to get around the other bank's low $3k/day limit?) Or will the other bank not allow it?

Has anyone tried something like this before? Instead of doing an ACH "send" from a place that has a low ACH cap, doing a "Pull" from another place that has a higher cap? Would I be able to get the higher amount by doing a "pull" from the higher-cap bank, or will those low limits still be enforced?

While I'm sure a lot of people would like to guess at this, I'd really like to hear from people who have actually TRIED or DONE this (successfully or not).

Yes, I know a wire is an option, but if I can do 5 ACHs for free to get to the $100k+ I'd rather do that (not in a terrible hurry). But I don't want to have to do like 40 of them. So just wondering if it's worth it to try?

Both banks are already connected to each other for ACH transfers each way, but I currently don't have enough $$ to try it out until my CD matures.

Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks very much!

ACH limits can be for both pushing from one bank or pulling from another, or the reverse. I have had an account at at least one bank that applies the limit to both. That bank would not let me send more than a certain amount and if a pull from another bank came in over that amount, it would reject the transaction.

So the answer to your question will require asking your bank if there also is any limit for pulling initiated from another bank.
