Synchrony Bank

I had a JC Penny's Card and became ill after 10 years of paying my card on time. Synchrony Bank began calling and mailing me bills to pay my card. It was a while before my health changed for the better, and I called and had them take out 1 (one) authorized payment, in which they took out.

I started working and with my first paycheck I called and paid my bill in full.

This morning, I got my first paycheck and see that Synchrony Bank went into my account and took a payment of $51.00 that I did not authorize. I told them that my mortgage was the only thing scheduled, and that Synchrony Banks deduction put my mortgage in the red.

When I called they said that I authorized it, and I said why would I authorize something that I paid in full? They could not answer my question.

They told me that they would "MAIL" me the $51.00. I asked what about the bounced fees that they caused. The Rep told me it was nothing that they could do. I will never enter another JC Penny's Store again in my lifetime.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties during a time of illness. I assume you mean that Synchrony run the JC Penny's Card and that the withdrawal you refer to is from a separate checking account? If so, it seems that you should be complaining to your checking account bank for allowing an unauthorized withdrawal.

Yes you should tell the bank that it was not authorized. The bank may give you the overdraft money back and also contact the mtg company so you are not assessed another fee for a late fee and bounced check. from them.
