I am the executor for my dad. I am in bergen county, NJ. I have to set up an estate account. This would be a good topic for Ken to write about. I found nothing on this site about estate accounts. I am wondering at what bank I should set up the account. I want to avoid as many fees as possible. Does anyone have experience with estate accounts and possibly where is a good bank to set one up. Thanks

Every state has different laws. This type of forum could not possibly address this. A law forum or blog in your state of residence of the deceased person would be the place to check out or your local county building which usually has lawyers that donate a certain amount of time for residents. Also check your state representative for a gov site with this type of information. KNOW THE LAWS OF THE STATE.
As far as opening a checking account all you would have to do it check the free checking accounts within your state on this site.
