Does Anyone Know Of Any 2% Cashback Cards That Also Have A Cash Bonus For A Modest Spend?

I heard paypal now has one and I asked them to convert my old paypal mastercard and they refused. (Its 3% for ebay and 1% for everything else.

I already have a fidelity but they have extra 1% deals that are based on average spends so having another 2% card will help keep the spend on that card low except for deals where they give an extra 1%.

One just ended tonight but it was only after a $750 spend. And I rarely spend that much in 2 months.

I think I saw one where someone had a business card that paid 2% but can I get a business card without a business?

Also, that bonus deal was no good as I cannot spend $4500 or whatever they wanted.

I know citi I think has a 1%+1% but I fear being rejected because they closed a card of mine years ago for lack of use. Actually they lowered my limit to $100 and it pissed me off so I closed it.

Squeezing the nickel pretty hard worrying about 2% cash back on less than $750 spent every 2 months.

I can spend more and I often do if its manufactured spending...like prepaying bills.

Getting another 2% card will allow me to never use the fidelity card except when they have their fairly regular bonus deals. And if I stop using it for 6-12 months, my spend will be a lot less than $750 to get the extra 1%.

The bonus spend amount is based on prior spending amounts.

My bad. Seems that you are actually just pursuing the extra 1% that your existing card sometimes offers and attempting to manipulate how often those offers pop up for you. Oh, and also hoping that some other FI will pay you a bonus for signing up with your valuable business.

Based on your subsequent posts and even mentioning "manufactured spending," you clearly know more about credit card offers than most folks I hope that no one here reveals offers from any of their local banks or CUs that might not be prepared for these antics.

What I mean is prepaying $600 to my power bill for a $2 fee. And I did the same with my Uverse bill for 8 months, I paid my car insurance a month early for the extra 1%. I went ahead & prepaid my heating gas bill too. Even though it was a freaking 100 degrees today.

I think I will still get the offers as often but maybe next time the threshold is $350 or even lower depending on my prior 12 month spending. So it might be best for me to stop using the card for 6-12 months and right now, I do not have another 2% card. Which is why I want another one.

A decade or so ago I used to play the 0% interest for however long but back then, they let you do it with balance transfers even when you did not have a balance. Id transfer from one card to another and then pull the cash from the other and deposit it. I don't even bother for new cards because for small amounts, its not worth my time keeping up with minimum monthly payments from actual spending. My Amex gave me $250-300 for a $1000 spend and I did a capital one that only gave $150 for $500. I actually bought some grocery store gift cards to make the $1500 spend at the time.

Those kind of things.

In the past before I started that, my bonus would start after a lower amount. And I saw on some message boards where others had higher and lower bonus thresholds.

None of my spends would be rejected because they are legit charges.

You must have a monthly direct deposit of $500 into your PSECU checking account to earn 2% cash back on the Founder's card. Otherwise, you earn 1.5% cash back.

Synchrony does the paypal cards too. I have one that I have not used in a few years plus, that deal is targeted I think.
(Not Yet Publicly Available)
Synchrony Bank has launched a new credit card with no annual fee which earns a flat 2% cash back on all purchases.
(you need an authorization code to apply, these were sent out to targeted people via mailer)

I found a Keesler Visa at 2% or 3 points. I tried to chat with customer service regarding the value of the points but apparently chat was down. Also, they have a $100 for a $1500 spend which is a higher spend and lower bonus than I was looking for.

Earns 2% cash back or 3 points for every $ spent; plus a $100 credit with $1,500 in purchases within the first 90 days of having the card. (It also has 0% for 12 months for purchases and cash advances with only a $5 cash advance fee)
(I am already a Keesler member)
