If your on line account shows pending deposits check it.

My credit union does this and shows my COVID 19 check will

be available on Wednesday.

The credit union did not receive the check. The gov not send a check it sends money electronically but on different days usually but not always. Even when a bank sends your money to another bank that other bank will get the notice before they actually receive the electronic transfer.
My credit union always shows a direct deposit several days before it is deposited. My SS which is always deposited on the second Wednesday of the month but it shows as a pending deposit several days before the Wednesday it will be deposited. My pensions that are deposited on the first of the month shows as a pending deposit several days before the 1st day of the month. One check is deposited on the 1st day of every month unless the 1st is on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday and then it shows as a pending deposit on the first day before that Sat. Sun or Holiday that is not a holiday. My tax refund shows the day that it will be deposited before actually it is deposited. Actually the information from the gov was sent on all of the checks for this week last Friday. I am not sure if it showed  on my account Friday as a pending deposit or over the weekend. I just happened to look at my account today. Some checks are deposited on different days not sure about this type of check. If I go to the bank and deposit a check it is available immediately at my credit union. I have never had any money held even on a $50,000 personal check I deposited from out of state. They have a right to hold an amount on most checks but they never have for me for some reason. If you listened to Mnuchin today he said SS recipients would have their checks deposited on Wed this week for these checks. Not sure if that is correct but that is what he said. Also if the SS recipients did not get the check, he gave the site to put in certain information so it would be sent. Also if the SS recipient did not have to file in 2018 or 2019 there was a place to fill out some information to receive their check. Even on payroll checks that are direct deposited you will get a notice as a pending deposit several days before pay day when the money will be deposited. If you payroll day is Thursday the bank will get a notice of it early but actually your company has an account that the money is invested until the day your check is due and it will deposited your account that day and if you cash your check at your bank the money will be paid only when that check gets to their bank.
If you have access to your 401k account you be most likely be able to get to the part that shows you what day your employer will add your match. Just because your payday is Friday they may not put that match in on Friday. They may put it in early or a couple of days later. If you can invest your match or any money in your 401K daily this information can be valuable. Some companies will not you invest their match at all or it has to be there so many years before you can invest it in what you want to invest it in. A pending deposit does not mean the money is there. It is the notice to the bank or credit union that receives the money from the giving institution that money will be sent by electronic deposit that day. A trial is sometimes made to make sure that everything is correct . Not sure why you think it meant anything else. It is a pending deposit that is expected on a certain day.
When you say you going to do something on a certain day that does not mean you have already done it.
When your account page says pending deposit on the 15th it means it will done and made and available on the 15th.

Thanks for update...I don’t do electronic banking and receive Soc Sec on 3rd Wednesday. I change the tax return bank info every year b/c of potential hacks. The government may use a close acct. with their choice of action. I’ll call my bank Wednesday...now if I could visit my safe deposit box...any suggestions there? ??
PS. I get overseas business wire transfers on a periodic basis and the receiving bank shows pending for only 24 hours...

I actually just now received an email from my credit union that the COVID 19 stimulus amount would be in my account on Wednesday. I also have a reward checking there and they have stopped the requirement for March and April but we still get the 3% interest.
