Brokered Cds

So i am reading Kens articles on Brokered CDs. I am seeing Vangaurd listing brokered CDS by goldman sachs. So do i Have to open a Vangaurd account to get that brokered CD through Goldman ???

You would not be getting the brokered CD "through Goldman". You would be getting a CD, issued by Goldman Sachs, through a brokerage.

If you wanted to purchase that CD from Vanguard, you would need a brokerage account at Vanguard. You may well be able to purchase that CD at other brokerages. In any case, you would need a brokerage account to purchase a brokered CD.
