With so many credit unions around, a few have some interesting facts. Feel free to post any here you think are interesting.
(1) Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU): started out as a credit union for the CIA -- which explains why their ATM-only cards (not debit cards) are completely blank on the front except for the numbers. Not only do they not have the customer's name, they don't even have the credit union's name anywhere on it -- nor any phone number to call if lost, stolen or for customer service. Just numbers on a blank front, and Cirrus/CoOp/Star logos on the back. Never seen another bank card like it anywhere -- with no indication or clue as to what financial institution issued it.
(2) The US Senate Credit Union (USSFCU) is open for all to join. But in the other chamber, the US House of Representative's Credit Union (Congressional FCU) is open basically only to House members, support staff, lobbyists and a few SEGs.
