Question about callable CDs.

If a CD is callable but is not 'continuously callable' but has specific 'call dates', is it only callable exactly on those specific dates?

in other words is the below callable from 6/11 to 7/9 for example?

ie:

Call Date Call Price Call Type

06/10/2023 100.000 Par Call

07/10/2023 100.000 Par Call

08/10/2023 100.000 Par Call

09/10/2023 100.000 Par Call

thnx

if you can locate a disclosure listing the specific details of the CD, that would be best way to answer your question. since there are call dates every month, my guess would be that it's only callable on the 10th, not other days. some disclosures for bonds indicate that when the bond gets called, the bondholder must be notified X number of days prior to it being called. something like that might also exist for this CD, depends on the terms.

This is a typical response without having full details of your specific case, but yes it would be callable monthly on those specific dates, and probably with some short notification period. In your example the CD was likely funded on the 10th of a month, hence the call dates. Even so, it shouldn’t matter much. Accrued interest would be calculated to actual call dates even if they were allowed to call mid-period.
