CIT online bank now redirects to First Citizens with no access to my funds. Is anyone here in this situation? I am very distressed. I emailed them but could not make phone contact. As late as last month, CIT took deposits and now they are gone!

As I had feared, (and posted last year) CIT pro-consumer bank is now directly a set of branches of anti-consumer First Citizens. Suggest withdrawing all funds as soon as possible whenever their penalty periods end. First Citizens is proud of its low-cost deposit base (i.e. customers who are not price sensitive, i.e. who might be barely smarter than boxes of rocks.)

I don't see the problem. Cit and citizens merged back in 1/22 and that didn't affect my online banking with Cit. A few days ago I moved some $ out of the online account with zero issues.
