The owner of some paper EE Savings bonds has me as POD. Owner will be converting them to electronic via treasurydirect.gov. Owner also wants to change the original registration to include me as a joint owner instead of POD. So my question is, can owner change the original registration of the bond(s) at the time when s/he is filling out paperwork to request a change from paper to electronic? Treasurydirect.gov does not address this issue specifically.
