CFG CD Start Date

I thought I could fund a CD with CFG from my CFG Savings account, but it seems they require a separate ACH to fund a CD (strange). Anyone knows if the CD start date is the CD application date or the ACH completion and funds availability date? Cannot get anyone on the phone. Thanks.

The CD will earn interest from the application date. At least , that has been my experience.

If you already have funds at CFG, a CSR (if you can ever get hold of one) can open the CD and transfer in the funds immediately.
