Vanguard cash account just went to 4.5 percent. Not bad for idle cash at the brokerage

GH1, do you happen to know if Vanguard will send you an invitation to open this account if you request one? Looks like it's still a "pilot" product open by invitation only to certain existing customers.

@GH1 Is this one of their money market accounts or is this an account where all of the settlements take place or is this their version of an FDIC insured sweep account? Also do you know if this cash account comes with a debit card or checkwriting?

It's new cash plus account and FDIC subject to change at any time though

Yes thats true. Same as any money market we have can change on a dime.
