I know that Ken lists HSA savings account rates, but I wonder if there's any listing of HSA-eligible CDs? If not, I'm wondering if the best place to look might be those institutions that offer IRA cds? The reason I say this is that NASA FCU is offering their rate-leading 9 mo. (5.65%), 15 mo. (5.45%) and 49 mo. (4.85$) as both IRA and HSA products (in addition to your being able to have them as 'regular' cds.) NASA is not a good solution for me, hence my question, thanks.

keep some cash liquid outside of the CD. If you need the cash for an HSA expense
another alternative, if cash available outside of HSA to cover medical costs, is to keep a record of those medical expenses paid with non-HSA dollars. at some point in the future, could reimburse those expenses by making a qualified withdrawal from HSA. doing it that way gives tax free growth of HSA account, while reducing taxable income on whatever interest would have been earned on the money outside the HSA used to pay the expense.
