She said they had been told something was coming but had no further details to share. I think it's cause they are swimming in cash and don't need to offer anything but I remain hopeful.

MineSweeper | | 68 posts since 2021Based on the latest Health Report NFCU does not need the extra deposits. That being said NFCU seems to watch their competition for military members i.e. Pen Fed. So if Pen Fed doesn't make any changes to their CD Rates especially long term rates I would not expect and rate changes. NFCU does seem to offer CD's that you can add money to once opened at around 4.0 APR which is a good hedge. I personally use ALLIANT Credit union for their higher CD Rates and High Yield Savings. NFCU and ALLiant's ACH transfers are fast with no issues. It is still possible that NFCU may come out with a special as that attracts new members who may purchase other products such as credit cards and auto loans, Overall I think NFCU will hold there rates the same unless there is competitive pressure.
