Does anyone know if everything is OK with Sharonview Federal Credit Union?

I have a CD with them that matured today. I called them a couple of weeks ago and asked them to close it upon maturity and transfer the funds to the savings account. The representative said that this was done.

Today, when I went to check, the CD has rolled over to a new 5 year term! The only way to contact them is via phone. Their website states they open at 8. The message on the phone says that a rep is available 9-5. I have been trying to reach them since 9 a.m. and it says they are currently closed.

I sure hope, not closed for good...

Update: I was able to get a hold of their mortgage department on the number Ken has listed for Sharonview and they put me in touch with a manager who closed the CD for me. He said, they were in a meeting .... I am outta this credit union for good! :-)

I really hope that the "stretch" this mid-sized CU made in 2018 to vastly expand their geographic membership footprint and offer 64-month, 4% CDs - at that time quite the deal - hasn't crushed them. Neither their offerings nor their quarterly ratings have really been the same since then. My CDs matured a few weeks ago - I moved the funds but left the liquid accounts open with minimal funding.

But the worst of it is, if I'm forced to give up my membership in the "Charlotte Folk Society" (which was my entree to membership at Sharonview) - then I will never learn to play the dulcimer. Oh, the horror!
