Any EWP Impact On MAGI

For those who have been down the EWP road in the past - when calculating tax year MAGI for IRMMA Medicare surcharge bracket amounts - does the dollar amount of any EWP need to be added back to the taxpayer's AGI, along with tax free interest and other items in order to determine the total MAGI. I have not been able to find the answer on any site discussing MAGI calculations. I am a newbie to EWPs - but I am sure others here have traveled this road in the past.

Thanks in advance for your response !

The EWP is a negative”adjustment” that reduces AGI and is not added back in computing MAGI, which is defined as the sum of AGI and tax exempt income - per https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/Inx/0601101010 - so there is no add-back of the EWP.
