When 6+4 Isn't Equal To 5+5

Few recent "on-subject" posts made me to think and realize the Relativity of DA Universe

where 10(6+4)=10(4+6)?10(5+5), further examples;

24(4+7+7+7)?24(6+6+6+6) AND 30(5*6)?30(6*5).

I don't need the explanations of "Why", But I'll appreciate ideas and shared experience of how to deal with that in a way of maximizing the Income, how to translate that into CD Investment strategy.

foot note; neither ladder, bell or bullet offers strategic solution to this numeric paradox.

My answer would be:
1/7
The MAGIC NUMBER (Whoooo!)
When converted into a decimal, 1/7th is: .142857 (repeating)
Drop the decimal & the repeating and you wind up with: 142857

Now take that special number (142857) and add it to itself.
142857+142857= 285714
You will have the same digits (1 4 2 8 5 7), just starting in a different place (285714).
Add 142857 to that, and it's the same thing (428571)--the same digits starting at a different place.
Keep adding 142857 to the sums, and it keeps on going, the same way.
Until finally you get: 999,999.
Then keep going, just by adding one extra "addition" step.
999999+142857=1142856 (start at the 2nd "1" to do "1 4 2 8 5, then "6+the first 1"=7).
Keep going, add 142857 again and it's 1,285,713--start at the "1" in the "13", and you have:
"1 (3+the first 1=4) 2 8 5 7.
And you can keep on going, until Andrews FCU returns your call.

Fun for hours while your accounts earn interest and the world passes you by.

Today's Sesame Stre--er, numerology lesson has been brought to you by the number "7" and the letters "C" and "D".

As for what I think your question was (a higher-rate 12mo CD vs a slightly-lower 24mo CD)... well, it all comes down to how you did on the "marshmallow" test variation as a kid (a young kid has a choice -- instant gratification of one marshmallow given right now, or if he can be patient and wait 10 minutes he will get two instead of one). There's an argument to be made both ways (squirrel away and save for the future so you're secure vs live for today while you can and are able to) but I'm more of the "patient for better rewards" type. As you know, unless your crystal ball is better than mine, there's no way of knowing how interest rates will go, so whatever way you decide, if it was the "better" or "worse" choice will be up to what the future holds. "Ya pays ya money, ya takes ya chances." That's what makes life interesting, no?

I appreciate the sarcasm...I don't get the amount of the effort involved.

To take you back to on-subject track I can get you in touch with fine psychologist.
Speaking of Relativity...
for the "fun" the psychologist used to design spacecrafts, until the psychologist failed to recognize that "slightly-lower" is about 1/5 and dropped the decimals.
Having observed the spectacular crash due to "The MAGIC NUMBER (Whoooo!)" impact, the psychologist now "makes life interesting" explaining dual meaning of MAGIC WORD "patient".

What makes "interesting" is that it takes decimals to "pass you or Andrews FCU" by, in all accounts it depends where you going and how fast.
Every kid knows that it only pays to be patient where there are two marshmallows.
Some here want to make sure that the choice of more than one marshmallow is available to their kids... one sure way is to start teaching kid about decimals and "The MAGIC NUMBER"!
(Whoooo!)???

you lost me.
except to note, 24(4+7+7+7) is incorrect. unless that's your premise.

Thanks, but no...
the premise was to show that 24 is not equal to 24... and the ? marks were neither premise or intention, just an inability of website to display special characters. but I appreciate anyway and repost. When it is all corrected, do we have the premise established and the ideas to be shared? To spare myself from from further clarifications... the premise is such;
What decision making algorithm @betaguy would employ to forgo 6% 12M CD in favor of 5% 24M CD?
