Recently opened a CD on-line two weeks ago. Attempted to log in and something does not seem correct. Entered my username and password and a box popped up wanting me to verify my identity. The phone number they wanted me to send a PIN was NOT my phone number! On the phone (on hold) with them now.

Are you logging into the BMO Alto site or the BMO Harris site? The 2 are different.

That happens to me only when I type the password incorrectly.

I did have the correct site (BMO Alto). I spoke to a customer rep and they verified my info. Was told that if THREE phone number options appear in the verification box, something was not entered correctly (wrong username or wrong password).

Is BMO Alto really this bad? They have good apy rates especially for their CD's.

I have bought a couple of BMO Harris brokered CD's on Fidelity's website and thought I would buy a direct Cd from BMO Alto and the process went very smooth.
