As we work on the fixes for the filter, we would like your input on how you expect the filter to work when entering a location. Please comment with your answer to the following question:

1. The current default is to show the highest rates regardless of location or availability. When you enter a location, what results would you like to see in the table?

a. Only products available from financial institutions with a local branch

b. Products available both locally and those available to open online.

We will be reworking the "Online Only" option on the rate table. The new function will be "Include Online Options".

Thank you!

There was little, if anything, wrong with the former CD search tool. It nicely pre-filled your location based on IP address and retained whatever dollar amount entered so that you didn't have to keep reentering the amount for each new search.

I shouldn't have to reenter my dollar amount as I search 6, 12, 18, 24, 36 month CD's.

Definitely go with (1) - - Show the highest rate regardless of location or availability. Many, many of us jump thru a lot of hoops and go to great lengths to get deals, even if it requires a lot of work or travel. If we weren't that serious, we'd just go to any old bank around the corner instead of going to DA to search.

While it's fine for a user to be able to filter things to their liking, please make the default to show everything, regardless of location or availability. Thank you.

I get different and sometimes more answers by changing the city, state and nationwide and any. You can always put in any if you just want the highest rate but it doesn't mean you will be able to open an account with all of them.
