They are offering 5% for 3 or 4 years...but also for 4 years and 11 months....sounds great!

As of close of business on August 23rd, all TEG CD rates will fall precipitously. Highest going forward will become 4% APY.

Fascinating. My post was based on a warning I received when I telephoned them on Friday. The old, higher, CD rates were supposedly good only until close of business that day.

Just checked again. Now the rates changed as you stated. Must have checked too early. You were correct
