Ken's Overviews

Is it still possible to see Ken's old overviews on financial institutions? I am trying to find his overview of Advancial but can't find anything. Have they taken all his reviews down?

Does anyone know if the 365 day EWP on their 5 year CD is on the accrued interest, or if it goes into the principal? I was not able to get a concrete answer over the phone but they lean towards the penalty going into the principal.

Thank you.

If you have a CD account at Advancial, request they provide you a copy of your CD Truth in Savings Document. EWP terms/conditions are covered in detail.

Early withdrawal penalties will be imposed regardless of whether dividends equal to the amount of penalty have been earned at the time of the withdrawal. If the dividends in the certificate at the time of withdrawal are insufficient to pay the entire penalty assessed, the penalty will be assessed against principal. For 5 year certificates, the penalty will be equal to 365 days dividends when any amount of the principal is withdrawn. In addition, you will not receive any portion of the accrued dividends for the dividend period in which you make an early withdrawal from any certificate.

I think this is the latest review:

According to the post, “If the dividends in the Savings Certificate at the time of withdrawal are insufficient to pay the entire penalty assessed, the penalty will be assessed against principal.”

You search for a bank/cu, scroll down a little to “View all posts from:”, select a year and go from there.
