SFGI Direct Merger Burke Herbert

I was blinded sited by this merger. The bottom line for me is this new bank takes longer to make transfers and has a transfer limit. Can anyone recommend an alternative? ...a high yield savings account that doesn't have a transfer limit. SFGI direct was probably one of the only banks that did transfers overnight.

If you logon your account on Burke, & select the 'transfer' function, you'll see what your transfer limit is. Mine was larger than what was stated in the FAQ. Also, I did a transfer initiated from Burke to an external account, and it took 1 day/overnight (same as previous sfgi). Some other places that do
1-day transfers are Alliant CU (but 25k daily limit), and Everbank (formerly Tiaa bank).

Thanks for this. I also forgot to mention that Burke &Herbert requires name, account #, SS #, address, your last transaction, and drivers license # when you call in for any type of question. When transferred to get actual help the process of providing information is repeated. I did notice that the transfer happened sooner than they said it would. My account shows a $50K transfer limit.

I'm not happy with the merger. They don't post rates on the site. The info I found said to call for rates.
I also use American Express. Their transfers are fast.

This is no help with general/all interest rates, but if you logon your account & click on the box for your account, then look under 'details', then under 'interest', it will show the interest rate for your account.

Thanks. I did see that. I like to check rates at banks and it's a waste of time to login. This DA site's no longer useful for that.
