Someone recommended DA to me a good while back. I'd forgotten about it and just came across it again. It looks like there could be some helpful information but it doesn't seem to be updated. Can you give me some quick input on when the site is typically updated. Are the ratings and rates for the banks and credit unions accurate? Are there particular sections that are usually of more interest than others. Thanks for your feedback.

You've come to the right section, though. The most helpful information may be found right here, in the User Community Forum, where a volunteer skeleton crew — caring, if still somewhat shell-shocked — continue to post deals they feel worth sharing, in a noble attempt to keep the original site's spirit "alive" and current . . . although nowhere approaching the regularity and frequency with which our departed guru, Ken Tumin, lavished upon us. (And often lacking his in-depth research, and expert insight.)
Interest rates — as you likely know — are heading downward, and so irresistible deals are now few and far between, if not entirely non-existent. You might supplement your check-ins and gleanings here with a more structured, consolidated information source, updated close to daily, here: https://depositquest.substack.com/

"our picks for the best savings accounts, ranked according to annual percentage yield (APY)" include 5 accounts (EverBank, LendingClub, Bask Bank, Bread Financial, and CIT Bank) with APYs ranging from 4.55% - 4.75%. There are currently four nationally available savings accounts with APYs between 5.00% and 5.25%, none of which DA mentions.
If you're look for rates that are updated regularly, I suggest using https://depositquest.substack.com/. FYI - DA has outsourced maintenance of its rates tables to India.
