A little over a year ago I opened two cds at a bank in Allentown,Pa. I was told I did not have to open a savings account and I can get online so I did exactly that. I was also told I would only get a statement once a yr. OK. well now it is a little over a yr. so I was waiting for my statement and my 1099 for taxes.. I called a week or so ago and the teller or person I spoke to said they meaning my statement and 1099 were in the mail.... that was then .l well I did receive my 1099 //// no statement. Can banks not send a statement or do I have to open a savings. Acc.

I have been able to print out a so called statement as I have never seen it before that I could'nt get onto documents and had to right click to actually print out an outline of the cd. I say without their name or whatever on it... I am only saying it was hard to put together . Is it possible that they don't have to send me a letterhead statement. Looking for comments as I have never came across this unusual typo...

I am wondering if the device you are trying to access the statement on may be the issue. I sometimes try using my Apple IPad, but am not able to access my e-statements, so I have to use my Windows based desktop computer. This is the situation with my accounts at Financial Partners CU in CA. Otherwise you may need to call the CS at the bank for assistance. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments and was going to call but just wanted so see if others are having the same issue. Things are changing so much as I have doing this online banking for yrs as my age is closing in on me with I am mostly getting free online statements but this is a first that I was not able to move around inside my acc. Thanks

I had another thought. May be helpful to look at the account activity on your accounts at least quarterly to be sure no service charges are assessed or odd un-authorized activity. A statement only once a year seems risky to me. Could they put you on a quarterly statement cycle on a request basis?

Thank, for responding as I am sure I will get it straightened out but just the same these days things are changing fast and if you don't ack fast something may happen without you knowing. And now I here the CFPB is shut down that can help in some cases.. This site used over the yrs. that helped people with ideas to follow up on. Thanks for interest
