Free yearly soft and hard credit reports available at consumerfinance.gov. Credit, checking, medical, insurance, employment, etc. There are many agencies tracking you. Not just the big 3. Also, how to opt out of junk and pre-approved offers at 1-877-678-6885.

I just received my first ChexSystems report. It had about 12 items that I have never seen on other credit reports. For example, a wealth index score, when/where my social number became available for issuance and the number of checks I ordered in the last 5 years. I strongly encourage you to get a copy of your free report once a year. It is listed under consumerfinace.gov with other reporting agencies not listed on freecreditreport.com. The Chex web site is consumerdebit.com The amount of information collected among these agencies is scary.
