Keep an eye on your mailbox - In the afternoon mail, a letter from CCU stated that within the next eight weeks a new credit card equipped with an EMV chip would be received as a replacement for my current VISA credit card. A helpful CSR at the assistance number in the letter stated that the cards would be replaced at the same time for all CCU VISAs cardholders.

Your VISA card number will remain the same. However, your EMV card will have an updated CVV code (the three digit security code on the back of the card). You will need to update any recurring payments once you receive your new card. The new EMV card will have a 4 year (48 month) expiration versus the 2 year (24 month) expiration of your old card.
This upgrade does not (yet) impact debit cards. Debit cards will be updated with EMV technology in the near future.

cards as yet. Only one merchant so far had the new technology installed when it came time
to paying for my merchandise.
