Trick To Bypass Chip Reader

I know a lot of us are frustrated with chip readers processing a purchase as a debit instead of credit, which results in the transaction not counting towards the 12 required point-of-sale purchases. But I recently learned a trick to trick the chip reader to process the transaction as a credit.

The trick is to insert the ATM card in the chip reader the wrong way so the reader can't read the chip. Do this a few times and the reader will eventually display a chip malfunction message. It will then ask you to swipe the card instead. This will now process as a credit and count towards your required transactions.

You can tell if your purchases count by checking your account later that day and if that transaction shows up as (Pending), then that transaction will count.

Hope this helps everybody!
