ACC Annoyance

ACC (American Consumer Council) membership has been my entryway into at least two credit unions within the last year. But the ACC is associated with many credit unions. They announced five new ones in their latest newsletter.

I smelled opportunity so I telephoned the ACC and requested to learn if they published online a list of the credit unions with which they are associated. Response was that, "NO", they do not make such a list available to ACC members and, furthermore, that the list is "confidential"!

I explained ACC members could benefit from such a list since ACC membership can facilitate gaining admittance to credit unions on the list. They were unmoved and unhelpful. So much for the ACC caring about consumers.

I found two lists online. I do not know how accurate they are.
