I just got an e-mail from Pacific Transportation FCU saying they are blocking debit card and credit card transactions coming from New York and New Jersey.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR MASTERCARD® DEBIT AND CREDIT CARDS:

The Credit Union has temporarily blocked the states of New York and New Jersey due to a high volume of fraudulent activity.

If you have monthly automatic payments coming out of, or originating from, the states of New York or New Jersey attached to your debit card, please contact the Credit Union to set up a different payment method option.

That's all it said. But seems to me they have done this before, seems to me I got a notice maybe last year about similar action for transactions coming from Texas. So, I don't think this is related to the Experian data breach.

How dumb of me. I didn't mean to say Experian, I meant to say Equifax.
