'Twas the day before New Years,
And all through the land,
Folks were rushing to donate
Used clothing (off-brand).
Trump's tax bill, they fear,
Will bring little cheer.
Non-cash contributions
Will not be so dear.
No closet was spared,
No drawer left un-open.
It must go today,
To good cause, I'm a hopin'.
We pre-paid our taxes,
And hope no reduction,
By IRS audit
From this year's deduction.
As we bid fare-thee-well
To Schedule "A" as we knew it,
We can only hope someday,
They'll think to renew it.
