In the face of the federal shutdown -- which Congress is now lifting as I write -- Andrews Federal Credit Union just sent an e-mail offering "furlough relief loans" of up to $5,000 and at 0% interest -- a free loan -- for as long as 24 months, and no payments due in the first 90 days.
I see nothing int he formation saying that you actually have to show you have been furloughed.
Now that the shutdown is ending for the time being, I don't know that this is going to last long. But if you want to grab it this moment, it might still be available. It is still posted on their Website as I write:
