Though there are many fine Credit Unions that serve their members well, it seems that living in luxury off someone else's money isn't just restricted to the big banks. Have a look at this report from today's Washington Post, that details things that were going to be kept quiet (like two airline tickets, for $11,000 -- each) until a whistleblower thought enough was enough. Apparently because they're private and not governmental, it's all "legal" (including "more than $60,000 in additional funding that was moved from one account to another in 2017 to cover McWatters’s [the NCUA's head] travel, lodging and per-diem expenses"). But talk about tone deaf...
