I do all of my own investing, and much of it is in fixed income. I love the resources within this site.
At some point, I will need to look for an investment advisor. Most of those usually put people into stock equities or mutual funds. Some even sell annuities, which I avoid.
Do you have any recommendations for Estate Planning or Investment Advisors that work mostly with fixed income and safety of principal, rather than growth and long term rates of return. Those are good, but usually for people with longer time periods to handle the risk. The investments I am wanting need to be appropriate for maybe a 15-20 year (or less) holding period with low volatility and low risk. YES, that will be lower rates of return, but that is OK.
If I don't want equities or even mutual funds, do you have any recommendation of where to turn. Most advisors are not set up for this type of money management.
