Today I discovered that Nasa FCU charged an improper monthly fee to my checking account yesterday, Jan. 31. In calling in, CSR explained a systems error had done that to many accounts, they are working on it.
She said she would pass my account number to the branch manager to be added to the list of accounts for which they will need to reverse the charge. It sounds like some accounts got improperly charged, but not all. Or, at least, they don't know.
She also said she could not restore the money to my account, it would screw up they correction via the system. She said I would have to wait for their fix to be done, which she said should be by this coming Wednesday. At that point, I should check the account, and call in if everything is not corrected. So, I couldn't even get this taken care of today, I have to have it hanging and chase it down again next Wednesday.
I see no notice about this at their Website. And it sounds like they are not even sure which accounts were improperly charged.
Anyone with an account at Nasa should go check their accounts for an improper charges.
