Advancial Federal CU_Membership Not As Indicated On Depositaccounts.Com

Previous post indicated Keesler Federal CU not an easy national membership as posted. Now another institution the membership eligibility not as indicated on deposit accounts.com - this one is Advancial Federal CU (Texas) -

DA says: Membership in Advancial is open to anyone by joining Connex for a $5 fee.

I phoned the CU today 5/6 - Connex is not an organization they recognize for membership. The CR went to a supervisor to verify.

Please correct on the website - this membership is limited to some parrishes in Louisiana, and some petroleum refiniing industry organizations.

After reading several comments about Advancial not recognizing Connex membership, I called the credit union to verify their membership requirements. The CSR asked if I was interested in a loan or a deposit account. When I responded "CD", he said they are not accepting any new CD's at this time. I asked if, in the future, they are accepting CD's, would Connex membership be recognized and he said "possibly".

Connex was how I joined Advancial a couple years ago. I sent the CU an email about joining through Connex. If memory serves, they responded with a membership app that was prefilled with Connex as qualifying organization, and Advancial collected $5 fee on Connex's behalf. There were no questions about my intentions on obtaining CD or loan.
