I received an e-mail from Elements Financial with the subject line: "Internet Banking Security Alert Notification: Invalid Password". The message stated that "an invalid password for your login ID was submitted" this morning, and that I should call Elements if I "suspect fraudulent activity".

I called Elements Financial and was told by a representative that they had sent this e-mail to "everyone".

I asked the representative to inform the higher-ups that they should sent an e-mail to everyone who received the erroneous message, informing the members that the earlier e-mail was erroneous.

Was this sent to your Logged In Account messages?
I received no notice in my Internet email address.

It was sent to my personal e-mail address, not to (or through) my Elements account messages.

I got a couple of these emails recently from Andigo and Campus USA (sent to my personal e-mail address). No sign of anything amiss.
