Has anyone looked at where to move a portion of maturing current long term IRA CDs, eg to a relatively/safe long term IRA CD that permits additions in a low dollar amount/environment? The thought is a transferee long term IRA CD FI for risk mitigation if long term rates go south …after all where is one to move maturing CDs…even if a low rate as a “last resort” parking lot…again if rates for new accounts go south?

Look at IRA savings rates on this website and also short term IRAs here where you can get between ,80 and 1 % until rates go up. If you can get into Barksdale FCU they have a 1% IRA savings acct. NASA has .80 for 9 months.

Redstone FCU has some interesting long-term "members choice" CD's. If rates rise, you can opt to increase your interest rate to the current rate once every 365 days
