Brokered Cds

Everyday is a bit different. For the most part, Treasuries have been better than CDs, and Broker CDs.

Today, I just bought a Broker CD, 24 months at 2.9% at Schwab, BankUnited of FL.

No way that I know of to add styling/ownership, or POD info.

Methinks that this is done at the brokerage account level.
I don't think that they let you slice and dice it by investment.
For IRA's that the beneficiary.
For taxable accounts, joint ownership - or, a beneficiary.
Guess you'd have to ask Schwab to get a definitive answer.

This is correct, the ownership and POD setup of the brokerage account applies to the brokered CD.

If you want to have different beneficiaries on different brokered CD's (I'm not sure if adding multiple beneficiaries increases the FDIC insurance like direct CD's) you would need to hold the brokered CD's in different brokerage accounts

That is a nice rate. Is it callable?
