Here are the 7-day yields of a few popular money market funds available at Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard as of 11-7-2022: FZDXX @ 3.50%, SWVXX @ 3.40%, VMRXX @ 3.38%, SPRXX @ 3.38%, VMFXX @ 3.34%, FZFXX @ 3.14% and SPAXX @ 3.06%. During the current rising rate environment, these yields have been increasing nearly every day. Here are some links where you can check the current 7-day yields of these money market funds anytime you want an updated 7-day yield:

Thank you for this! Very helpful. Glad I moved from Capital One to FZDXX.

Would someone explain "minimum investment" for these accounts? I see Fidelity's FZDXX's minimum investment is 100K. Understand a 100K (initial) minimum investment, but are you able to drop below a 100K balance once you're in? Thank you.

Jacques321…I was provided the following useful information regarding FZDXX a few weeks ago by DA reader, alan1, which he found on Fidelity's customer service Reddit channel:

“There are different types of minimums, including a minimum initial investment required to purchase certain money market funds. The money market you have referenced does require a minimum of $100,000 to open the position in your account. After that minimum initial requirement has been satisfied, your balance is allowed go below that level without penalty. However, if your fund balance falls below $10,000 worth of shares for any reason and you do not increase your balance, Fidelity may sell all of your shares and send the proceeds to you after providing you with at least 30 days' notice to reestablish the minimum balance. Your shares will be sold at the NAV, minus any applicable shareholder fees, on the day Fidelity closes your fund position. Certain fund positions are not subject to these balance requirements and will not be closed for failure to maintain a minimum balance.”

FZDXX is up 3.74% as of today. What effect will yesterday's mass hysteria caused by misreading the CPI data have on the above funds? Will they also start to trend downward?
