Seattle Bank - Carefully Review What You Sign

I am trying to open a trust cd at Seattle Bank. They give you lots of paperwork for each and every cd separately. I want my cd to be in the name of my trust. I already have one CD there, and wanted a 2nd CD, so I have to sign 3 more sets of paperwork for the 2nd CD. Mistakenly the 2nd CD says that my trust is irrevocable. Incorrect as per the trust copies I have sent them. I emailed and called them on Monday to get this corrected and have not yet heard back.

I understand that they are backlogged, but I have been working on this for a long time.

The mistaken paperwork does not have a space where I check either the option of revocable or the option of irrevocable. It just has typed in irrevocable.

Anyhow deposit friends, read carefully. Seattle bank may be over their heads; I understand they have just gone national, so they may be on a learning curse, oops typo learning curve, not learning curse. Hey, that's funny.

UPDate, Well, it has been a week since my post on this. Still no answer from the lady I was working with. I tried to reach her again today, but was unable to. So I talked to a gentleman. He said the lady had mistakenly sent me the document and that I did not need to sign it. He said he can clearly see that my trust is revocable, and that in a couple of days he would get enough time to create the cd. The check for the CD has been sitting in their vault for maybe 2 weeks now. He also said he will mail the paper copy of the new cd in a couple of days. So, we shall see. I hope they come through.

Happily, Seattle Bank Came through, It was determined that I had been sent a unnecessary as well as an incorrect form.
